WHO WE WORK WITH

We work with those whose motivation inspires us

By sharing the same goals as Cleanslate – that community revitalization starts right at home – our best clients are lead anchors in their neighborhood as in their field. Here are a few of the influential organizations and institutions we are humbled to serve:
Developers, Investors, Innovators
Sterling Bay is revitalizing Chicago from the ground up. Cleanslate’s relationship with Sterling Bay grew out of their generous financial support of Cara (Trailblazer Award winners in 2016). Curious to see if philanthropy could extend into a business partnership, they first hired Cleanslate to service just one building. We now provide our full suite of external services to more than 340 of Sterling Bay’s properties.
Creating Real Economic Destiny
Chicago CRED operates on a core belief that jobs can stop bullets. When young men have a chance in the real economy and are encouraged to follow their drive, they'll flourish. Sharing those beliefs, Cleanslate has been proud to work with Chicago CRED since September 2016. The partnership is our first foray into youth programing, with Cleanslate providing transitional employment to Chicago CRED participants who are young men that are at a high risk for violence in Chicago’s most vulnerable neighborhoods.
Building Community
As the largest business improvement district in Chicago, Uptown United SSA #34 (Special Service Area) has created the largest number of transitional jobs for Cleanslate participants since 2006. Providing litter removal services 7 days a week for over 15 miles of Uptown sidewalks, Cleanslate participants provide our full scope of business district services, including litter, graffiti and snow removal.
Leader in Care & Research
Cleanslate is proud to recognize Illinois Medical District as one of our four pillar customers. Partners since 2006, Illinois Medical District was our first contract that required differentiated services from our typical business district litter services. The Illinois Medical District was the first customer that hired us for their snow removal and landscaping needs, giving us the opportunity to expand our service offerings.
A Community Asset
When the Cook County Land Bank Authority (CCLBA) was established in 2013 to address the large inventory of vacant property, Cleanslate was proud to be their first vendor. Cleanslate supports the efforts of CCLBA by providing landscaping, snow removal, building winterization, and property inspection services. In addition, CCLBA’s need for preservation services provide a unique training opportunity for Cleanslate’s participants.
Tu Mexico, Tu Chicago
As members of the Little Village neighborhood, Cleanslate proudly partners with the Little Village Chamber of Commerce, who first contracted Cleanslate in 2011. We now provide the Chamber with litter abatement, weed control, and receptacle services. Hosts of one of the largest annual Mexican independence parade in the United States, the Chamber relies on Cleanslate to provide post-event cleanup services.
